Santa Luzia

Santa Luzia is a small village ('communidade' in Portuguese) with some 15 families and 60 inhabitants. Since 1992 an 'official' village, but already 60 years ago the first settlers arrived here. Since 1996 there is electricity and in 1999 a community waterpump was installed, and yet most inhabitants still use water from the creek though to wash, cook and drink.
